Fragility – Destroyed

This post was written in response to the Daily Post Daily Prompt: Fragile

Born, fragile as a rose,
Each petal shed – a drop of red
On a once pure soul.

But time has worked its magic,
Hardening her feathers.
Creating a bark around a stalk
Once so tender.

The flower has withered –
Poisoned by malice,
Mother Nature is fragile no more.
